She is the author of\u00a0The Holocaust and Representations of Jews: History and Identity in the Museum\u00a0<\/em>(Routledge 2011)\u00a0and\u00a0German Protestants Remember the Holocaust: Theology and the Construction of Collective Memory\u00a0<\/em>(2000),\u00a0as well as numerous articles on Jewish\/non-Jewish relations.<\/p>\n

\"Mia<\/strong>Mia Spiro<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(Co-Investigator) is Lecturer in Jewish Studies (Theology and Religious Studies) at the School of Critical Studies, University of Glasgow. She is the author of\u00a0Anti-Nazi Modernism: The Challenges of Resistance in 1930s Fiction<\/em>\u00a0(Northwestern University Press, 2013) and has published work on Virginia Woolf, Jewish representation in the interwar period, and on the Jewish Golem myth in modern and contemporary film and literature. Her forthcoming monograph, Modern Monsters: Golems, Vampires, and the Ghosts of War<\/em>,\u00a0examines\u00a0how elements of the supernatural\u00a0have been used by modern Jewish writers and artists to grapple with oppression, migration, and antisemitism in the first half of the twentieth-century.<\/p>\n

\"PhilPhil Alexander <\/strong>(Post-doctoral Research Associate)\u00a0His recent PhD explores the relationships between performance space, cultural identity and musical meaning amongst klezmer practitioners in contemporary Berlin. Until April 2017 he is visiting lecturer in Klezmer and Yiddish Song at Cambridge University.\u00a0<\/span>Phil is also a busy figure on the Scottish music scene, leading the band Moishe\u2019s Bagel and performing regularly with folk and jazz musicians across the UK.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
